As an integrative psychodynamic counsellor, I provide a warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for you to work through any difficult thoughts, feelings, and events in your life. The integrative and psychodynamic model is a verified and established method of therapy for successfully healing mental and emotional distress. Within this framework, individuals gradually become more aware of aspects previously outside of their awareness. Opening up to talk about your past or the places in your life where you feel stuck can be difficult, but just by coming here, you’ve already taken the first step.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, navigating life changes, working through challenging past experiences, people-pleasing tendencies, low self-esteem or simply seeking more clarity in your life, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating a collaborative process that fosters growth and resilience. My goal is to support you in uncovering strengths you may not realize you have and in building tools to handle life's challenges with confidence.
I use a range of modalities, such as psychodynamic, humanistic, trauma-informed therapy, body psychotherapy, CBT, Gestalt, and inner child work to build the therapy around you and your needs. My approach is holistic, working with all aspects of who you are as a person.
In our sessions, we’ll delve into underlying patterns and explore the origins of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, helping you gain deeper insight into what may be holding you back. Together, we can uncover and strengthen your authentic self, moving beyond limiting beliefs and rediscovering your unique voice.
I have worked in a variety of mental health and therapeutic settings, supporting individuals struggling with a range of issues, including:
- anxiety
- life transitions
- depression
- abuse
- narcissistic abuse
- domestic violence
- bereavement
- family issues
- relationship issues
- ADHD
- social anxiety
- people-pleasing tendencies
- low self-esteem
- low confidence and many more
From the start, we will agree on what you would like to get out of therapy. However, we will review the work as we move along, allowing you to reflect on your progress and how we are doing. It is not uncommon for initial goals to change as the therapeutic work evolves.
I welcome any questions you may have and look forward to hearing from you.
